    I sincerely believe there is no better way to connect with God—our Creator and Father—and with Jesus Christ our Savior than through the reading of His Living Word, the Bible.


    Falling in love with God by spending time with Him and allowing the Holy Spirit to speak the words of heaven into my life has been, and continues to be, a life-changing experience. This site exists to help others begin and continue that same journey.

    Different ways to experience the Word

    No English edition can replace prayerful study and comparison. These are versions and formats that have helped me at different stages of the journey.

    Devotional paraphrase

    The Clear Word

    A highly readable devotional paraphrase that expands biblical thoughts into contemporary language. I found it helpful for devotional reading and seeing familiar passages from another perspective.

    Best used alongside a formal Bible translation rather than as a replacement for one.

    Contemporary translation

    Common English Bible

    The CEB was the first translation I read that used especially direct, contemporary English. It was completed by a broad team of biblical scholars from numerous faith traditions.

    Helpful for accessible reading, comparison, and understanding the flow of a passage.

    One Year Chronological Bible — NKJV

    Reading Scripture in the approximate order of its events reveals connections that are not always obvious in the traditional canonical arrangement.
